Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables, was born in 1874 in this modest white and green house, decorated with authentic Victorian period pieces and overlooking New London Harbour. The Park offers walking trails and fascinating interpretive programs on beach ecology, geology, evolution, wildlife, and archaeology. The road through the park leads you to a choice of many access points to the beach which offer a safe place to park and walkways to the water, with supervised beach and swimming area.

Cabot Beach is the largest park in western PEI. The park is free to access. This beautiful park has a large day-use area with playground equipment, an activity centre with children’s programs and a naturalist on staff who provides guided nature walks. There is also supervised swimming on scenic Malpeque Bay. Nearby attractions include the Kensington Railyards and Welcome Centre, Malpeque Bay Sea Kayak Tours, and The Keir Memorial Museum.
